During 2021 and 2022, we committed to planting one tree for every Morrisby Profile taken.
Your support enabled us to plant 196,578 trees across that 24 month period.
We will build upon this fabulous foundation by continuing to sponsor important environmental initiatives targeted to mitigate climate change. These will include tree planting initiatives.
To achieve this, we worked with:
Trees help clean the air we breathe, filter the water we drink, and provide habitat to over 80% of the world's terrestrial biodiversity.
Forests provide jobs to over 1.6 billion people, absorb harmful carbon from the atmosphere, and are key ingredients in 25% of all medicines. Have you ever taken an Aspirin? It comes from the bark of a tree!
Trees help cool the planet by sucking in and storing harmful greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide into their trunks, branches, and leaves — and releasing oxygen back into the atmosphere. In cities, trees can reduce ambient temperatures by up to 8° Celsius. A mature tree can absorb an average of 48 lbs of carbon dioxide per year, making cities a healthier, safer place to live.

One Tree Planted are a non-profit making environmental charity. They are dedicated to making it easier for individuals and businesses to give back to the environment, create a healthier climate, protect biodiversity and help reforestation efforts around the world. All by planting trees!
Since they started in 2014, they have more than doubled the number of trees planted year-on-year. Fast forward to today, they now work with awesome reforestations partners in Europe, North America, South America, Asia, and Africa who help them get trees in the ground to restore forests after fires and floods, create jobs, build communities, and protect habitat for biodiversity.
We supported a project to help restore native habitat in the Wild Heart of Southern Scotland, One Tree Planted has begun planting 24,300 trees across 1,800 acres near Talla Reservoir and Gameshope.
As these areas were deforested centuries ago, they cannot rely on natural regeneration to recover. By planting trees here, native woodland will be restored, once again providing quality habitat for wildlife and recreation benefits to local communities.
This project with The Borders Forest Trust is part of a larger landscape-scale ecological restoration effort that seeks to restore over 3,100 hectares of land in Scotland.
The South West is a biodiversity hotspot. Tall native forests of Jarrah, Kauri and Eucalyptus trees blanket this corner of Australia.
Our project was part of an effort to restore habitat. We supported a project around Toolibin Lake where some 33,615 seedlings were planted. Located in Wheatbelt, Western Australia this wetland offers important habitat to a number of migratory birds.
In 2021, One Tree Planted committed to planting over 500,000 trees in this special region of Western Australia, including areas that were impacted by the Black Summer bushfires.
