Safeguarding
The safety and wellbeing of everyone we work with, especially children and adults at risk, is our highest priority. Morrisby provides careers guidance and assessments to young people and adults, whether through schools, colleges and universities, or directly to individuals through the Morrisby website. This means we regularly interact with under-18s and with adults at risk, both in person and remotely.
We are committed to protecting our clients, and our staff, from all forms of abuse, including physical, emotional and sexual harm, and neglect.
All employees, freelancers and anyone else representing Morrisby are required to follow our safeguarding policies and procedures. Morrisby has a zero-tolerance approach to any form of harmful behaviour, and safeguarding is treated as the responsibility of every member of staff who comes into contact with our clients.
Our Safeguarding Lead, Joanne Carrington, has day-to-day responsibility for safeguarding at Morrisby, supported by our Safeguarding Deputy, Sarah Lewis. Together they work with Morrisby's senior leadership to make sure any concerns are addressed quickly and appropriately.
Our key principles
- We act professionally in all our interactions with clients, and do not engage in any behaviour that could be seen as inappropriate.
- We treat every client with fairness, respect and empathy, regardless of background.
- We handle client data strictly for reasonable work purposes, in line with data protection law.
- We require freelancers and other third parties working on our behalf to meet the same safeguarding standards as our employees.
- We act promptly on any safeguarding concern, reporting it to our Safeguarding Lead without delay.
- We investigate all safeguarding concerns and complaints thoroughly and fairly, and support anyone involved throughout the process.
