Data Sources

This page outlines our sources and processing of data for Morrisby course and provider information.

UCAS

UCAS is an independent charity providing information, advice, and admissions services to inspire and facilitate educational progression. They are responsible for managing applications to Higher Education courses in the UK. We  take data from UCAS to populate course information and entry requirements as well as providing links through to the UCAS page for that course.

HESA

HESA, the Higher Education Statistics Agency, are the experts in UK higher education data, and the designated data body for England. They collect data on a wide range of higher education topics including admissions, applications, students, and staff.

We display HESA data where we have a minimum of 20 students in the sample.

NSS

Nearly half a million students across the UK are invited to take part in the National Student Survey (NSS) every year. The NSS is an influential source of public information about higher education. The survey is completed by final-year students at:

  • All publicly funded Higher Education universities/colleges in England, Wales, Northern Ireland, and Scotland
  • Further education colleges in England and Northern Ireland
  • Further education institutions (FEIs) in Wales (with directly funded higher education students)

We take a small extract of the NSS data for the Course/Subject area selected.
