How can you track and record Gatsby and Skills Builder, and link to Compass+ all at the same time?
That's exactly what our Head of Sales, Alan Teece, will be talking about in his session exploring Morrisby Tracker. He'll be looking into the following:
- Recording careers activity for easy management
- Tracking progress with learner passports
- Evidencing statutory requirements
- Gaining insights from student feedback
- Aligning data to monitor progress
Why Morrisby is getting involved at the CDI National Conference 2021
As a market-leading provider of online psychometric assessments, including career assessment tools such as the Morrisby Profile, our assessments are used by career practitioners all over the world to help their clients make informed decisions about their future.
Morrisby is getting involved in the CDI National Conference because we believe that it is important to share our knowledge and expertise with career practitioners. We are looking forward to discussing the latest research and findings on careers guidance and education, and networking with fellow professionals. We believe that this conference will be a valuable opportunity to learn from each other and to develop our careers guidance practices.
With a focus on the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals, we are particularly excited about discussing how we can all incorporate these into our work. We're conscious of sustainability as a company and believe that it is essential to consider the future of our world when planning careers - our Planting Futures initiative supports just that.
We are committed to providing the best possible guidance and support to our clients, and we believe that the CDI National Conference is the perfect opportunity to do this. We are excited to be involved in this event and we look forward to meeting new people and sharing our knowledge with them.
Why the 2021 CDI National Conference Centred on the UN's Sustainability Goals
Recently, there has been a lot of discussion and controversy around issues such as sustainability and social justice. The UN's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) provide a framework for addressing these issues - a collection of 17 global goals that seek to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure prosperity for all.

The Career Development Institute (CDI) strives to remain at the forefront of developments in career teaching, and for that reason, the core themes of the CDI National Conference centre around Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to ensure individuals and organisations in the Careers Leaders sector are familiar with best practices associated with meeting these goals.
It's a unique opportunity for career professionals to learn about and discuss these important global issues, with the conference including a range of interactive sessions and workshops that will allow attendees to explore the SDGs in more detail and their impact on careers teaching, career advice and career guidance.
The conference will also feature keynote speeches from leading experts on sustainability and social justice. This is a great opportunity for career professionals to learn from the best and gain insights into how they can apply these concepts in their own work.
Core themes of the CDI National Conference 2021
Professional careers interventions can have a hugely positive impact on individuals, the economy and society, and at the conference, a range of sessions will explore the impact of the following:
- Decent Work & Sustainable Economic Activity (labour market)
- Education
- Social Equity, Peace & Justice
- Health & Wellbeing
- Environment
Decent Work and Sustainable Economic Activity Goals
In the face of a rapidly changing global environment, it's more important than ever to consider the economic and social impact of our work. The CDI National Conference will explore how these issues can be addressed through sustainable career interventions.
Many people are concerned about the future of their careers in this time of change. This is because they feel like they don't have enough control over their own lives or that what happens in the world around them has an impact on their employment prospects.

It's important for us to remind individuals that we all have power over our careers; there are many ways in which we can create opportunities for ourselves - by getting training, going on to further education or undertaking tasks that help us uncover where we want to go.
Morrisby is looking forward to taking part in workshops exploring young people’s perspectives on work and sustainable economic activity for older workers.
Education Goals
Everyone recognises that going to school is important, but not everyone realises the importance of lifelong learning. That means continuing to learn and grow throughout our lives, whether it's by reading, researching or taking additional courses to help pursue a career change.
The CDI National Conference will cover developing career readiness in young people using the 8 Gatsby Benchmarks.

We're excited to hear more about this as the Morrisby platform already supports schools in recording careers activities that evidence Gatsby Benchmarks - a powerful tool for teachers and Career Leaders.
Social Equity, Peace & Justice
It's important for Careers Leaders to instil in young people that they all have power over their life opportunities. The possibilities for career guidance and interventions to support desistance from crime will be an important topic in changing the trajectory of many young people's lives, focusing on the core ideas behind how work is being undertaken with them.
The CDI National Conference will also explore diversity in relation to career development. We need to rethink how we talk about careers advice and guidance, as, historically, advice has not always been tailored to those from minority backgrounds - whether they be ethnic minorities or those with disabilities.
This needs to change as our society changes and as more and more people come together to create a diverse workforce where everyone's talents can thrive. The CDI National Conference will explore this issue through interactive sessions on topics like sexual minority discrimination.
Health & Wellbeing
Over recent years, mental health has gradually worked its way to the forefront of social awareness. It has a significant role to play in the career decisions of young people.
The CDI National Conference will explore the links between work, health and wellbeing, looking at how we can create a healthy workforce and how career guidance positively impacts the wellbeing of young clients.
Environment
A final topic we'll cover at the CDI National Conference is that of the environment. It's a topic close to our heart at Morrisby, as you'll see from the success of our Plant a Tree campaign!

We'll be discussing how every career can be a green career and exploring the untapped potential of climate change as a source of inspiration for career development in a rapidly changing world - it's a topic that's enticing more young people from across the world as they become more conscious than ever before of the future of our planet.
