Morrisby Training
Our training courses have been refined to enable careers guidance professionals or school staff to make the most effective use of the Morrisby Profile Report and Guidance Service. Whatever your use of the Morrisby Profile, we have a training solution for you. Our occupational psychologists deliver several courses every year at our offices in Hemel Hempstead, although training can also be delivered on site at customers’ premises if required. If you have a number of people to be trained, then please speak to us about group booking discounts and onsite training.
MGS Practitioner Courses (2 days)
The 2-day practitioner course for careers guidance and educational professionals covers all aspects of administration, interpretation and feedback of our guidance reports. Once trained, delegates using our bureau service will be able to administer the tests, interpret profile results and feedback Morrisby Guidance reports. A small amount of post-course work prior to accreditation is required.
Course cost is £475.00 (plus VAT) per delegate, including all training materials, lunch and refreshments. Price also includes vouchers to enable profiling 5 candidates for free*.

Refresher Training (1 day)
These highly popular 1-day Refresher courses have been specifically designed for Morrisby Profile users who want a 'refresher' to update their skills. These informal seminars will review issues such as interpretation of the Morrisby Profile, administration, use of profiling materials, feedback, marketing/promotion, plus the latest developments of the Morrisby Guidance Service and support website.
Delegates will be registered Morrisby users only. Please provide your registration number at time of booking. There is no charge for these courses, and any training materials, lunch and refreshments are provided.

Morrisby Profile Upgrade Courses - half day
This training is for consultants who are BPS qualified Test Users and who would like to use the Morrisby Profile without the need to use the bureau scoring and report preparation services. Consultants could be using the MP for careers guidance, personal development, outplacement or selection / recruitment etc.
Delegates will have initially attended the above 2 day Practitioner Course, however this course will also provide additional training in:

Scoring the Morrisby Profile

Using Morrisby Profile norm tables

Practical exercises in selection

Creating bespoke selection reports
Once completed, delegates will be fully Morrisby trained.
NB. If the upgrade training is booked with the 2 day practitioner course, there is no additional charge to the 2 day course fee. Delegates will need to provide proof of BPS registration.
BPS qualifications in test use
The Morrisby Profile battery of tests has been reviewed and registered by the British Psychological Society’s Psychological Testing Centre as a psychometric test of abilities and so it is necessary that individuals using these tests are competent to do so. Under certain circumstances practitioners will also need to hold the BPS qualification of Test User (Occupational, Ability), formerly known as BPS Level A, and be registered on the BPS RQTU (Register of Qualifications in Test Use).
Will I require additional training over and above the 2-day practitioner course?
How you intent to use the Morrisby Profile will determine whether you require additional training or not:

If you are using the Morrisby Profile solely for guidance purposes and utilising the Morrisby bureau service to score answer books and produce reports for you, then you will not require the additional BPS training. Morrisby will provide telephone and email support on issues around the use of psychometric tests.

If you are using the Morrisby Profile in a selection and recruitment context, practitioners will also need to be a BPS qualified Test User.

If you are planning to score your own test materials and produce your own reports, then you will be a BPS qualified Test User and you will also need to undertake the ‘Morrisby Profile Upgrade Course’ (see above).
