The Office Skills series measures basic literacy (spelling & grammar), numeracy (arithmetic) and visual checking (speed & accuracy) skills as required by new entrants to commercial positions.

Applications

The OS series is used by a wide range of organisations for selecting people for clerical and administrative jobs.

Materials

There are 3 tests available: Speed & Accuracy, Arithmetic and English Usage. Each test is presented in a combined question and answer booklet.

Administration Time

The performance time for the Speed and Accuracy test is 5 minutes.

The Arithmetic test takes 10 minutes.

The English Usage test take 4 minutes to complete

Age

Suitable for those aged 16 and over.

Range

The tests can be used with candidates who have few formal qualifications.

Scoring

The tests are scored by using a series of plastic overlay scoring keys.

Training

It is not necessary to hold a British Psychological Society Certificate of Competence in Occupational Testing (Level A), however we would strongly recommend that users consider training to this level.
