Introduction to a Morrisby Test Session

Your introduction to the session should include the following points.

  • A general welcome to the session.
  • An explanation as to the purpose of the session.
  • An outline of the type of exercises they will be doing, i.e. that they.
    1. Are paper and pencil tests.
    2. Measure different aspects of ability.
    3. Are not like exams - there is no pass or fail.
    4. May find some of the tests easy, and others harder.
    5. Are not expected to finish in the time allowed.
  • The instructions are precise and read from the book.
  • The time allowances are precise and measured with the stopwatch.
  • They will be occupied for the next 3 hours 15 minutes.
  • There will be a short break half way through the session of eight minutes.
  • There will be an opportunity to ask questions.

They should adopt an attitude of quiet urgency, working quickly but not so fast that mistakes are bound to occur.
