The Morrisby Organisation is committed to meeting standards accross the board, so we make every effort to ensure that we comply with requrements that make our sites more accessible to visitors with disabilities.

Our sites have been built to satisfy the requirements of the DDA, this ensures that we are enabling access for our visitors with disabilities. Below are some tips on getting the best out of our website if you have a disability.

Altering your screen resolution

The site has been optimised to work best at a screen resolution of 1024 x 768. If your screen is set to a lower resolution then we recommend that you increase it. To do this:

  1. Click the 'Start' button.
  2. Select 'Settings' then 'Control Panel'
  3. Find the 'Display' option and click on it.
  4. Click the 'Settings' tab
  5. Drag the 'Screen Resolution' slider towards 'More' in order to find 1024 x 768
  6. Click Apply and OK

Altering your colours using your browser

If you are having difficulties with the colours displayed on web pages, altering the colours used may improve your experience.

Internet explorer

  1. Click 'Tools' or press 'Alt' + 'T'.
  2. Click 'Internet Options' or press 'O'.
  3. Click 'Accessibility' or press 'Alt' + 'E'.
  4. Check 'Ignore colours specified on web page' or press 'Alt' + 'C'.
  5. Click 'OK' or press 'Enter'.

Firefox

  1. Click 'Tools' or press 'Alt' + 'T'.
  2. Click 'Options' or press 'O'.
  3. Click 'Content'.
  4. Click 'Colours' or press 'Alt' + 'C'.
  5. Click the 'Use system colors' checkbox, or 'Tab' to the checkbox and press 'Space' to select it.

Altering your fonts using your browser

If you are having difficulties seeing or reading on-screen fonts (e.g. Tahoma or Monotype Corsiva), you may wish to alter the fonts displayed.

Internet Explorer

  1. Click 'Tools' or press 'Alt' + 'T'.
  2. Click 'Internet Options' or press 'O'.
  3. Click the 'Accessibility' button or press 'Alt' + 'E'.
  4. Check 'Ignore font styles specified on web pages'.
  5. Click 'OK' or press 'Enter'.
  6. Click the 'Fonts' button on the general tab or press 'Alt' + 'N'.
  7. Scroll through the fonts under 'Web Page Font' with the mouse or use the arrow keys and select the required font.
  8. Click 'OK' or press 'Enter'.

Firefox

  1. Click 'Tools' or press 'Alt' + 'T'.
  2. Click on 'Options', or press 'O'.
  3. Click 'Content'.
  4. Choose your specific font by clicking on the drop down menu, or press 'Alt' + 'F' and use the arrow keys to select the font required.
  5. Click 'OK' or press 'Enter'.

If you are having difficulties seeing web pages on-screen, making the text larger could improve your experience.

Internet Explorer

  1. Click 'View' or press 'Alt' + 'V'.
  2. Hover over 'TextSize' to bring up a selection of text sizes.
  3. Click on your preferred text size.

To enlarge text size with your mouse

  1. Hold down the 'Control' key while turning the mousewheel away from you.

To reduce text size with your mouse

  1. Hold down the 'Control' key while turning the mousewheel towards you.

Firefox

  1. Click 'View' or press 'Alt' + 'V'.
  2. Click 'TextSize' to bring up a selection of text sizes.
  3. Use the mouse or arrow keys and press 'Enter' to select your preferred text size.

  1. Click 'Safari' and click 'Preferences' or press 'Apple' + ','.
  2. Click 'Appearance' or press 'Ctrl' + 'F5' to highlight 'General' and press the right arrow key to highlight 'Appearance' and press 'Spacebar'.
  3. Click 'Select' next to 'Standard font:' or press 'Tab' to highlight the 'Select' button and press 'Spacebar'.
  4. Click the font in the 'Family' list you want or press 'Ctrl' + 'F6'; 'Ctrl' + 'F7' and then 'Tab' to enter the 'Family' box where you can use the arrow keys to highlight the font you want.
  5. Click 'Fonts' box close button or press 'Esc'.
  6. Click 'Appearance' or press 'Esc'.

If you are having difficulties seeing web pages on-screen, making the text larger could improve your experience (Not available in version 10.3.9).

Safari

  1. Click 'View'.
  2. Click 'Make Text Bigger' or 'Make Text Smaller' to change the font size.
